In addition, our meal service platform, MealTime, enables us to track allergens and dietary restrictions. During meal service, the application automatically alerts staff with a warning screen identifying any food items that the student should avoid.
We are committee to support your family. Please email Ginna: gmohan@millercreeksd.org for additional questions
The meals will follow federal nutrition guidelines. This also means that all of the elements of the meal must be served to a student in order to follow the guidelines. For example, if a federally approved meal has a grain, protein, fruit, vegetable, and milk, then all of those elements must be served.
As the school year progresses, we'll continue to adjust our orders based on what students enjoy most. Dee's Organics welcomes feedback from the school sites and will be in close communication with schools to ensure our selections are a hit with your students.
Check the menu regularly, and plan accordingly based on your student's preferences.
Fill out THIS survey! Thanks
Breakfast and lunch are available at no cost to all students. Families are no longer required to meet income qualifications.
No, you do not have to place an order or enroll in the meal program.
A survey form was sent mid-August to gauge general interest in the program. That was a survey, not an enrollment form.
We will monitor the pattern of consumption and adjust orders based on the number of students that request the food.
Keep in mind that this is different from the way the system operated in the past because the school must be prepared to serve a meal to any student that asks for a meal.
This means that the school might have to over-order until we get it right.
At this time, we are not donating unused food; instead, we are making extra meals available to teachers and other staff in the staff room. Be assured that we are actively exploring ways to reduce waste.
Meals are packaged in compostable and recyclable containers to the best of our availabilities.
Sometimes our suppliers run out of our preferred containers, but we are working on it.

Update about our program (12/15/2025)
Dear Miller Creek Community,
We are writing to inform you of an upcoming change to our school meal service.
We are saddened to share that our current vendor, Dee’s Organics, will not continue providing meals beyond December 2025. While we are disappointed to make this mid-year transition, we want to acknowledge and appreciate their partnership during the first half of the school year.
We are pleased to share that the District has acted quickly to secure a new partnership with Ordo beginning in January 2026.
Ordo partners with local chefs and commercial kitchens to provide fresh, homestyle food for schools.
Most importantly, meal service will remain uninterrupted for all students.
Ordo brings deep experience in school nutrition, regulatory compliance, and menu development, ensuring our students continue receiving nutritious and compliant meals each day.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this transition. Families will soon receive information about viewing menus and nutritional details.
Thank you,
Kristy Treewater, Superintendent
Marie Henrio, Chief Business Official
Information about our program (08/12/2025)
Dear Miller Creek School District Families,
We’re excited to introduce a new initiative that reflects our commitment to student wellness: a partnership with Dee’s Organics to enhance our school meal program. Dee’s Organics offers a fresh, health-conscious approach to school lunches, serving farm-to-table meals made with locally sourced ingredients — prepared right here in a nearby collegiate kitchen. This collaboration supports our whole-child approach, ensuring students are nourished in every sense of the word.
This year, there’s no need for parents or guardians to pre-order meals. Instead, we’ll have a set daily menu, and no registration is required. The district will place meal orders based on last year’s participation rates and adjust as we collect new data. If your family plans to regularly participate in our new organic food program, please let us know by completing the form below.
Please ensure your child’s allergy information is up to date in Aeries, and watch for more details about the food and program in the coming days.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Ginna Mohan in the Business Office at gmohan@millercreeksd.org
