Transitional Kindergarten and TK aftercare available

 

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION

TK is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate.

TK is available to students who turn five between Sept 2, 2024 and June 2, 2025.

The TK program supports students as they transition into the classroom setting and emphasize play based learning, social-emotional development, and other foundational learning skills.

For the 2024-25 school year all Miller Creek District elementary schools will offer a morning-only TK program

Please enroll as soon as possible here or in the front office of each elementary school. School offices close for summer break on June 21st. Families enrolling after that date can contact the District Office at (415) 492-3711, 380 Nova Albion Way for questions and turn in registration forms.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: AUGUST 21, 2024  

SCHOOL DAYS: MONDAY - FRIDAY   

SCHOOL HOURS: AM 8:19 - 11:45  

AFTER CARE: After care is available through Recreation Reimagined from 11:45-1:25 (TK Club) but can stay longer as an aftercare. For questions about availability, costs, or to enroll, please email our Sr. Program Director for Cornelia@RecreationReimagined.com. 

Note that the TK Club, 11:45-1:25,  is only available on a full-time basis (Monday-Friday). Any student enrolled in the program is responsible for paying the full-time tuition, regardless of the days attended. For additional costs for the aftercare program from 1:25-5:30, please email our Sr. Program Director for Cornelia@RecreationReimagined.com.

Lucas Valley Elementary School is nestled among the rolling, oak-studded hills of Lucas Valley in Marin County. The neighborhood is well-maintained and features the distinctive single-story homes iconic of the Eichler design. Lucas Valley Elementary School is one of four schools within the Miller Creek School District.

Lucas Valley is a K–5 California Distinguished School and was recently named a National Blue Ribbon School. Total student enrollment is approximately 360.
