Welcome to the Extended Learning Opportunities

At Miller Creek, we believe that learning doesn’t stop when the school day ends—it continues in new, exciting ways that help children grow both inside and outside the classroom. That’s why we are thrilled to invite your child to be part of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P), a free after-school program created by the California Department of Education to support students and families across our state.

ELO-P offers enriching after-school, summer, and intersession opportunities that go beyond academics. Students engage in hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and confidence while also supporting their social, emotional, and physical well-being. Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment where children can explore their interests, build meaningful friendships, and feel proud of who they are as learners.

Who qualifies for this program?

  • TK-6 grade students in the following categories may participate for FREE, depending on space
    • Students qualifying for Free/Reduced Meals
    • Foster Youth or students experiencing homelessness
    • English Learners

When does this program operate?

  • After-school, intersession (winter and spring breaks), and summer sessions
  • A minimum of 9 hours of care per day (including the school day)
