California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress

 

 

Last spring, all students in grades 3-8 participated in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), a computer-based test for English Language Arts/Literacy and Mathematics based on the Common Core State Standards. These assessments include both computer-adaptive tests, which adjust during administration based on the student’s responses, and performance tasks that require the student to demonstrate his or her problem solving, critical thinking, and writing skills.
